THE DAILY VALUE BREAKDOWN
To better understand the nutritional power behind Green Chef’s recipes, let’s start with breaking down the percent Daily Values (%DV) on the Nutrition Facts Label:

What are Daily Values?
The Daily Values are reference amounts (in grams, milligrams or micrograms) of nutrients to consume or not to exceed each day.¹ A list of FDA Daily Values can be found here. These reference amounts are based on a 2,000 calorie diet per day.
What do percent Daily Values tell us?
The percent Daily Values indicate how much a specific nutrient in a single serving of an individual packaged food contributes to a total daily diet. When reading nutrition facts labels, %DV can help determine if a serving of food is high or low in a nutrient.¹According to the FDA, as a General Guide:

Transparent Nutrition Labels
You can find the full Nutrition Facts Label, as well as an expanded ingredient list, for each recipe on the Green Chef website. Nutrition Facts Labels include any additional, quantified cooking oil, butter, or salt used from home, as indicated on the recipe card.
Green Chef dietitians work closely with our Product Validation team when onboarding new ingredients. This partnership is critical to ensuring the best ingredients, of the highest quality, are sourced for you. Part of this process includes carefully reviewing product labels for ingredients deemed prohibited within the Green Chef brand. Our food and nutrition experts have reviewed every label, so you can focus on enjoying every meal.
